I am a descendent of Jesse Disharoon and Margaret Davis through their daughter Lucinda. Lucinda married Jesse F.
Satterfield and they named one of their sons after her brother Bethel Quillian. This brother left GA with friends going to California for the gold rush of 1848. He returned, married, served in the Civil War. Apparently, he was considered heroic in the family if not for war service then for going to and returning from the West. Several children were named after him. Both Bethel and Quillian. I'm not sure which of these Bethel's yu descend from.
David Heise has done considerable research on this family.
Check his entries. I will try to find my records and forward them on to you.
