Mr. Heise,

I hope that you can help me. You seem to have great knowledge of the family of Waitman Disharoon.

I am a Hooper researcher.

1813, Franklin County, GA, in the will of Obediah Hooper SR (b. 1720), Toliver Hooper (Taliaferro Hooper), was bound out to Issac Brown. Two years later, Waitman Disharoon was appointed guardian for Toliver Hooper.

Little is known about Toliver (parentage unknown). From GA, Toliver went to Alabama, where he married Elizabeth Carter in 1823. Toliver and William Carter made several land purchases there. Then, 1850, widow Elizabeth, and four children, are in Ponotoco, MS. From land records, it appears that Toliver was in MS 1845.

Do you know of any Hooper connection to the Disharoon line?

Do you have old census records on Waitman Disharoon, that might list Toliver in his home?

Thank you for any help.

Dori Hooper
