My Hoopers were in Franklin County, GA, late 1700s, or very early 1800s. Prior, they were in NC, SC, and VA. I am not so certain that they moved much, just the state and county lines changed.

Toliver Hooper is a puzzle to us. Obediah Hooper SR died in 1803, but in his will, he left information for Toliver to be bound out to Issac Brown in 1813. We also do not know how Toliver came to live with Waitman Disharoon.

Toliver went to AL by the year 1823, as he married there to Elizabeth Carter. 1845, Toliver went to MS, and 1850 census shows Elizabeth as a widow.

Do you know if your Disharoon line has any connection to the Carter family? There were several Carter/Hooper marriages in the Obediah line.

Thanks for trying to help.
