David,I thought that William was Michael's
son, not John's. John and Michael were sons of the original Michael who owned Nova Franca
and Brittain. I believe that several of
Waitman's sons had sons or grandsons named
for him. Waitmain lived with his son Isaac
whose son Erwin had a son Waitman. There was
also an Ervin on Georgia of the same generation as Erwin. Lucinda named her son
James Ervin but I have not been able to connect her to a specific son of Waitman.
Waitman and his sons came into Franklin Co.,
Ga. from Rockingham Co. N.C.after leaving
the Somerset/Wicommaca? co. area of Maryland?Have you found a name for Waitman's wife?
