While researching my name I was told it originated in Brittany, France. The name was originally pronounced De Charentes. There is a river called Charents which runs through the province of Brittany. I do know that the Disheroons have been linked with the Messers and Waitmans. I can give you the information that I have about my family if you would like. My thought is that through the years the spelling has changed and the "Disharoon" and the "Disheroon" are one in the same.
