Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Kathy,My ggggggrandfather was Waitman Disheroon, son of one of the William's.
I thought "Waitman" to be a curious name as his siblings and children all had more typical given names. If Waitman is a surname,
perhaps my ancestor was named for one of his
grandparents. Could you provide or direct me to information supporting that premise? Thanks
Jeremiah Satterfield
