Dear Mr. Friedline,
Thank you for responding. I am rather new at this and am not sure of the correct procedure for "sending my line." Hope this is what you want.
After Frederick Dishong & Margaretha Gobler the chart gets a bit sticky, I am afraid. I descend from two of their sons:
Paul S. Dishong (1796-1877)who married Elizabeth Riblet (1800-1882)
Peter Dishong (1797-1849)who married Margaret Riblet(1802-1872)
Elizabeth and Margaret Riblet were sisters, daughters of Abraham Riblet (1771-1812)
Paul and Elizabeth Dishong's daughter Mary Ann Dishong (1820-1913) married Peter and Margaret Dishong's son Abraham Dishong (1820-1873)
Abraham and Mary Ann Dishong (first cousins) had a son, Noah A. Dishong (1845-1919)who married Amanda Rose(1855-1892)
Noah and Amanda Dishong had a daughter Anna Priscilla Dishong (1872-1960)who married Nicholas M. Altimus (1866-1893)
Nicholas and Anna Priscilla Altimus had a daughter Emma Priscilla Altimus (1895-1966) who married Barden Watson (1892-1974)
Barden and Emma Watson were my grandparents.
I am particularly interested in having a copy of the May 16, 1989 newspaper article concerning the Dishongs. Have you, by chance, scanned the newspaper and is it possible for you to email a copy to me?
Thank you so much, Mr. Friedline.
