I want to find info on Leonidas Polk DeShongh (or however it should be spelled), who lived c. 1810-1860, probably in Haywood County TN or maybe Williamson Co. His father was Edmund Arnold DeShongh and his mother was Margaret McFarland. Leonidas married Mary Jane Arnold c. 1824(?) and they had a son, William Edward DeShongh. William was adopted by Felix G. Nolen after Nolen married William's mother c. 1863. Our family tree is broken because William was known as a Nolen but his father's line was DeShongh.
