Talked to my mother Sarah Anna Dismuke today
and found out that alot of Dismuke's migrated
to Camden, Arkansas. It is a very large family. Some moved to Shreveport, La., Some
have moved even into California. My mother's
Sister's name was Bertha Dismuke, I had great aunts Melinda and Minerva Dismuke, Minerva came to California with her family
the Stroughter's. Melinda moved to Shreveport, I am in California and my mother
Sarah is out here. My mother Sarah and her sister Bertha married two brothers, named Joe
and Buddy Grigsby from Shreveport/Shongaloo La. Therefore, some of the Dismuke family in Central California are named Grigsby and
Stroughters. It just so happens we are having a Dismuke/Stroughter Family Reunion in July 2001 in Visalia, California. My
mother is still alive and does know a
Jimmy Dismuke that lives in Fresno California, who is related to us. I will keep asking her for more information about the Dismukes....Please write soon...Joe Grigsby Jr.
