Hi Charia:
Sorry I took so long to get back. My Grandfather "Ed" Dismuke dropped the "s" from the end of our name. He lived in and around the McAlestor area most of his life. I know very little about him, except that he lost both arms in an accident, and was supposedly friends with Carl Albert, former Speaker of the House.
My Dad's sister, Stella Brown, lived on a ranch in the Wilburton area, I believe, with her three sons- Bobby, Tommy, and Spanky. The boys are all married now, and still live around that general area, as far as I know.
Now, here's the tricky part. During WW II, my Grandfather took up with another woman and had two children by her, a boy and a girl. The boy's name was Buddy, I think. When I was a kid, we used to go down to my aunt's ranch and visit in the summers. My Dad always made a point to check on Buddy and slip him a few bucks.
Do any of these people sound familiar?
Your cousin(?), Mike
