Hi Penny,

My family tree contains Disney's too, which I am currently researching as well. The farthest I have been able to go back is to William Disney, who also came from England (born around 1660). (I am trying to find where exactly he came from and when/where he arrived in the US.)

From the very little I have been able to find, it is thought he came from the town of Norton Disney, thus his surname (with the way it is spelled). But I am not 100% sure, so sorry that I cannot give you an answer to your question. There are a lot of different spellings to the name Disney, depending on which region the person came from.

Happy hunting!
Jennifer
