When I read about the relationship of Benjamin F. Disney to the Snowden Disneys, I looked back into Sherry Foresman's book about Disneys. I noticed that the elder Snowden Disney's sister Elizabeth married Moses Deaver, and so I began to wonder if Snowden Disney showed up in your bible because of a relation on the Deaver's side of the family.

When I looked in the Disney book's index for Deavers, I found two other Rachel Deavers listed. The elder Snowden Disney married Rachel Deaver Oct. 29, 1793 in Anne Arundel County. Thomas Spurrier Disney married Rachel Deaver Aug. 18, 1818 in Balto. County. According to the records on Thomas Spurrier Disney Graveyard, a Ben Disney is buried there, but he's likely to be the one who's listed in her book as being born May 6, 1808 and married to Sarah Anderson. Looking at all of these Disney-Rachel Deaver marriages, I'm more confused than when we started.

Sherry Foresman said that she'd look for a connection of Benjamin Disney to the rest of her book, but that was over a year ago.

Thank you for the information that you shared. Unfortunately I don't think I can add much to what I posted earlier. I am now interested in checking out the Deaver family history next time I get up to Maryland.
