Henry Disney Francis

I have an old photograph, perhaps taken in the 1860's. It is signed "H.D. Francis". On the reverse, someone has written: "Henry (Disney) Francis. This picture was taken when grandpa posed for the picture of Christ that hangs in the British Museum in London". The British Museum does not recognize it or him; does anyone know who this is? I have a scan of the picture. Similar posting done on the 'Francis' page at Genforum.
