Just Starting Out genealogy research...
Posted by: Derek Dizney (ID *****4247) Date: May 16, 2007 at 00:50:01

I have recently taken an interest in researching my family history, and would like some advice on methods, areas of interest, etc. Despite my surname being spelled with a "Z", my blood line is with an "S", and using a book produced by Marguerite E. Disney Griggs, I was able to trace my line back to George Disney from England (born 1692, Immigrated 1745 to MD). It appears that his parents were a Thomas Disney and Margaret (unknown surname), but I cannot trace any further reliably. Please help/offer advice if you get a chance. Thank you
