Joseph Distin was enlisted in the British Navy during the revolution, and was quartered in the BETHUEL Parker home. He deserted from the British, subsequently was captured at West Point (undoubtedly by the Americans). He married Olive Parker, daughter of Bethuel (Wallingford Land Records, probate records). I have tracked down SOME of their children, and am happy to find yet another, Martha, whom we know nothing about, other than a baptismal date of 1788 in Wallingford. I invite you to correspond with me under my own email for further exchanges. Interested to know more about Martha Pond and her husband.
