Re Distin(g)
A well known name around Plymouth Devon
My connection: Ursula West Distin(g)
married Richard Durant 1781 Plymouth Devon
I found a Distin(g) at Totness Devon - he was an iron worker : Distin also made brass
musical instruments. The name originates
from Disting an ancient Nordic Festival
The name is common in the west Country
also found in Northumberland: there is a town
there : Disington.
