Taken from notes of my GEDCOM

William Distin, born 30 May 1780 in Wallingford, CT, was a son of Joseph Distin, Sr. and Olive Parker. He came to Lexington, Greene Co., NY, where
the 1820 census indicates he was employed in manufacturing. He does not appear in the 1830 Greene Co. census, which squares with your indicated death
date of 1829. He had a brother, Joseph Distin, Jr. (1782-1864), who settled nearby to him about 1813, and who moved with his family first to Augusta,
Oneida Co., NY, then to Volney, Oswego Co., NY.

I have an Olive Parker (b. 1754) who married a Joseph Distin Sr. (b.1746 in England). They had a son, Joseph Distin Jr. (b. 1782 in Wallingford, Conn. Joseph Jr. and his wife,
Hannah Hall, are buried in Volney-Mount Pleasant Cemetary. Why can't I find Volney-Mount Pleasant Cemetary in the cemetary index for New York?
