Hello Jim

Helen and I have been exchanging information over the past couple of days.

As said before I'm from the line of Thomas and Frances(stll don't know her maiden name yet) Ditch's son Edward William who was born 29th Dec 1835 and died 15th March 1874.

I think Thomas Ditch born 1794 in Hammersmith was the son of Moses and Jane Ditch.

I've come across the Ditch family from Sussex before and although I've done no work on them I've often wondered if they are connected to ours. East Sussex is not so very far from London and a move from Sussex would not be unusual, nor in the later 1800's would a move back out from the capital.

By the way I think Mary Hallett was previously married to Robert Hallett and her maiden name could be Wood.

I would be interested if you think there could be any link between the East Sussex and the London Ditch families.
Regards
Sheila
