I will be on the East Coast in about 3 weeks and was wondering if anyone on this list has ever gone to the Dutch Churches in Somerset County to obtain more info on the Ditmars family. Or would it be better to go to the State Archives in Trenton. I am looking for proofs of births,marriages and deaths late l660 to 1910.
I have just been accepted into the DAR on Johannes Ditmars who was in the New Jersey militia during the Rev. War and would like to know more about earlier Ditmars in N.J. and the women who married into the family.
