Heinrich DITMER 1850s Pru-Ma-?
Posted by: Frederick M. Dittmar Date: December 29, 1998 at 07:00:37
  of 80

In my family background, (GGFather) I have a Heinrich DITMER who came to the USA in 1850 at the age of 18 but I have not further records of him. He came from the Sachsen Weimar area of Prussia with his mother Elizabeth (age 50) and a brother Friedrich (age 14), they settled in Plymouth, Mass.
Elizabeth remarried in 1852 to a Lewis HELM.
The records at this time shows her name as being ( DEPPMER ). By 1856 I have a deed of land from Elizabeth HELM to "My son, Frederick Dittmar". So you can see the name changes I'm dealing with. Any help in finding Heinrich will be appreciated.
Please visit my homepage at: http://www.dittmar.net/fred and the DITTMAR page at: http://www.dittmar.net, Sign our guestbook, any variation of the spelling is welcomed.
