I am searching for information on Henry Adam Ditto, b. 3/26/1824, possibly in Williamson County, TN -- d. 3/11/1900, in Adams County, MS. He enlisted in the CSA in Arkansas during the Civil War and moved to Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana, after the war living there shortly before moving to St. Landry Parish, LA. He was married twice, first to Lucy Walton and then in 1874 to Margaret Haygood, in St. Landry Parish. We think his father may have been named William Ditto and probably was from Tennessee, but it could just as easily have been Kentucky. We have hit a dead end on Dittos and cannot confirm anything beyond what I have just written about Henry A. Ditto. Can you offer any suggestions? Our grandmother was Evelyn Alma Ditto, Henry's oldest daughter by his second wife.
