Mary, do you have any idea where the store, or William's home, may have been located in Catahoula Par? Do the earliest store ledgers make any mention of Ditto L.Nuttall, his stepfather? I'll be in New Orleans, in late October, for a wedding reception, and thought I'd try to take a side trip to see Sicily Island.

Have you attempted to inventory the letters? I wonder whether there's anything to reveal when William learned about the death of his stepfather, Dr.Nuttall,or any correspondence between him and Judge Elijah Nuttall in Kentucky, or the Judge's daughter Elizabeth McCreary? I was busy downloading records when I last wrote, so I'm not sure how much I sent. I'll double check my old Email and try to provide more soon.

Lindsay Nuttall
