According to the book "History of the Ditto Families", the origin of the name Ditto is French. I am born and raised in Italy, but now live in the USA. I am trying to accertain whether any of my ancerstors came from France...so far, the birth certificates I found do not show any French origin, but documents older than the mid-1800s could not be found in the municipality, so I am contacting the church who may have a more accurate record of my ancestors.
