Ditto family DNA project

We are looking for volunteers to participate in the Ditto Family DNA project. We are attempting initially to figure out whether or not the several Ditto lines that were here in the the early to late 1700's are connected to one another genetically. In other words, did all Ditto's from back then that were in America come from a common male ancestor. These specific lines are from Jaemes b. about 1680 through William b. 1713 and Abraham b. 1718 all from MD. Also, Abraham in York County, PA and Francis who served in the Revolutionary War. This family migrated west into Ohio and beyond. In addition, Henry Ditto that migrated from VA to KY in the 1700's is another line. Eventually, would like to compare these Ditto's to Ditto's that currently live in England , Scotland, and France to further define our heritage.
This is a paternal DNA test so male volunteers are needed. The test itself involves a cheek swab that is sent in to the testing Company. We do have a web site at http://www.relativegenetics.com/families. If you are interested and from the lines mentioned please e-mail me at srddocjim@aol.com and we'll send further info.
