You miss the point. I have seen too many garbled histories of the Ditto family based on tradition not to question anything I cannot prove for myself or at least be able to come up with a logical conclusion. I want to know why I cannot seem to find Joseph Ditto in Pennsyvania records. Did he die before his wife and children came to America? Woman and children under 16 were rarely named on passenger lists of ships of ships coming into Philadelphia. Did he come into New York?
Was he part of Madam Faree's party or did he come into Maryland? Why are some of his children Protestant and some are ardent Catholics? Didn't you ever wonder about any of this?
