I am interested in your names--a Reverend Samuel Gutelius baptized my 3rd great-grandfather John Yohe Ditzler in Adams County,PA. He was son of David and Anna Maria Yohe Ditzler of Abbotstown, Adams County, PA. John was born 1814. Now the Ditzlers in the area (various spellings--up to 20 of them)and especially those in Lancaster County are neither German nor Dutch--they are Swiss (and so German in the wider sense), from Solothurn, Switzerland (or at least the descendants of Melchior--not Michael as some wrongly anglicize it--Balthasar, Anton/Andon and several others of the first Ditzler men to go to PA are proven to be). Where they list a religion they are usually members of the Reformed Church, rarely Catholic or Lutheran.
