I wish I could say yes there is a connection, but I really don't know if there is or not. The birthdate of 1838 is right.
My Noah S.(Spencer?) Dixon was found on the 1860,1870, and 1880 census in Ga. I've not been able to find a listing for him in 1850 anywhere. On the 1860 and 1870 census it was indicated that the was born in Ga, but the
1880 says NC and I feel that this is correct. Have you found your Noah Dixon listed on any 1850 census? There could be a connection, I suppose some of the Dixons could have removed from NC to Ohio and some of the same
family to Ga. It certainly opens up some different lines of research.
