I've done a little research, and it's amazing how stories get twisted... however.... Jane lived to be over 100 if numbers and stories are correct, and she supposedly spun the flax when she was 100 for what has been thought the 'then' Gov. of NY and it was supposedly printed in the newspaper...... I've never heard or read anything about the Gov. of Conn being involved... ... however if Jane died in 1821 and spun the flax in 1819 on the occasion of her 100th birthday, it could not have been for either of the two Gov. Trumbulls, Sr. or Jr. as St. died in 1785 and Jr. in 1809, both well before the flax was spun....
However.. since we are connected.. I truly would love to see the information you have....I'd gladly pay for the printing and shipping...
