Tommy Dixon 19th Century boxer--Minnesota

I am looking for relatives/descendents of former professional bantamweight & featherweight boxer from the 1890's, Tommy Dixon. Orginially born in New Zealand around 1872, he came to Minnesota when he was 14 around 1886 and fought legendary battles with rival, Oscar Gardner. There were a few boxers by this name around that time, but this Tommy Dixon was white, if that helps some. Tommy is a candidate for induction into the Minnesota Boxing Hall of Fame and we are trying to find any family of his. Rumors say he ended up in Chicago, Illinois, but not sure to the validity of those reports. Any help is appreciated.
