It seems that there are many lines that trace to John Doan, Mary, Jane Thompson, Margaret, etc. The Doan book holds alot of the information for each and that is where I am stuck. My ggg-grandfather was born to Jonathan Doan and Elizabeth Lamphear. The only reason I know this is because of his own marriage licenses. Other then that, I know nothing about his parents and cannot find how they connect to the known Doan Lines. I think he may have had a sister and they grew up together working someone else's farm which means their parents had either passed away or "indentured?" them?

I only know of the marriage in Norfolk County. Other then that I don't have leads for James and Margaret. By 1871, John and Elizabeth were on their way to Michigan.
