There were several "Jehu Doan/Doane's", and Jehu who married Jane Marley had a son Adam, and Adam's son Jehu/Jahue is who married my mother's first cousin, Carrie King. I think it is true that they were of the original Doane family of Plymouth Colony. In fact, several family lines from there settled in Spice Valley Township, Lawrence Co., Indiana, including ancestors of my mother who were on the maiden voyage of the Mayflower.
