Hi Robert,

I know what the newspaper article said, but my Great-Uncle Leonard was there the night they found Cecil. Leonard is the son of Joseph Doan's brother John.

Cecil and the neighboring farm boys (name omitted for obvious reasons) were drinking moonshine in the back of an abondoned car on the farm. Cecil passed out and they left him there. After his body was found, the story continues with the retribution enacted by Lavere, Herman, Leonard, John, and Joseph against the two boys.

I understand that the newpaper says one thing, but back then they are not going to print what really happened.
