It's nice to here from you and to learn more about your Doan family history.Some friends of mine at work told me that there was a large group of Vietnamese Doan's in Texas and they have family reunions too.I am interested to learn more about the Vietnamese Doan's becuase as a researcher of the Doan surname, I get email from folks looking for their Wietnamese roots too.

He was a native resident of the Chau Phong District, Ha Loi Village, in North Viet Nam (now Viet Nam)..He was One of Queen Trungs' greatest generals who was in charge of the whole navy fleet. After Queens Trung's victory in 40 A.D., he was bestowed as Secretary of The Navy. In 43 A.D., the Chinese invaded Vietnam again. He was outnumbered, but led a bloody battle against the Chinese. His army was later defeated and he was fatally injured. Cao Doan died on July 20, 43 A.D.

Nguyen Cong Tin was very pleased that he decided to let Cao Doan married his youngest daughter named Nguyen Dao Nuong who was known for her beauty.
