Thanks for filling in the blanks for Millard Clay Doane (1856 Daviess County. He was my great-grandfather on my grandmother's side.

My lineage is Judith A. Trygg (Holstine), George Clay Holstine b. 1915 Daviess County, Bert Holstine b.1882 who was married to Maude Doane b.1883 d. 1952. She was the daughter of Millard Clay Doane (1856) and Minia Glen Perkins.

They had 5 children I know of. Maude, Clay Doane d. 1972, Melissa Doane, Frank Flavian Doane 1898-1918, and your grandfather John Roscoe Doane (1889)

The old homestead is just outside of Odon, Indiana. My dad had talked of visiting his Uncle John when he came up to Indianapolis when he was a young man. I knew Melissa and Clay the best. My grandmother Maude died when I was 4 in Elnora Indiana. She is buried at the Fairview Cemetery at Elnora.

Hope this has been helpful. If you have any further information since the last posting about Abner, please email me back.
