I don't know anything about Joanna's parents, but I think she was probably the aunt of Anna and Eliza Bronson. Our family stories handed down say that Anna and Eliza's parents were killed in an Indian raid and Joanna raised the girls after that. Anna married Thomas McConnell in Ohio and they came to Texas in 1840. Thomas died and Anna then married Wiley George in 1845. Wiley and Anna's son, William Bronson George was my great grandfather. Have you found any more information since your posting?
