Ruth Freeman's great grandparents were Governor Thomas Prence, and Patience Brewster. Patience came on the Ann in June of 1623, her future husband and Governor came on the Fortune in November of 1621, Patience's parents, William and Mary Brewster came on the Mayflower. Patience Brewster and Thomas Prence were married on 5 August 1624.
