I am so happy to find this forum! I "googled" my grandmother's name (Maysie Aveline Dockery) and found a reference to her in your father's book. Even though she told us she was born in 1911, not 1912 as it says in the book, I was amazed and delighted, to say the least! I had no idea that there was a Dockery Family Association.

I'm sorry for your loss, Beau. My grandfather had Alzheimer's, so I know how heartbreaking it was for you and your family. I wish I could thank him for his work, but I will thank you and all on this forum for keeping our history alive.

I have to work hard and fast to chart the genealogy of BOTH my parents before my own neurological condition worsens. It will be a gift to my parents, my son and grandchildren.

Again, thank you to all.

Brenda Kay Hughes
