Hi all
I too have Dockery Ancestors - from Kilmore, Co. Roscommon. If anyone is attached to this line I would love to hear from you.
My ggg grandfther was Hugh Dockery (c1800-1861) who was married to Joan Simpson (c1800-1881). They had at least 7 children John, James, Maria Jane (my gg grandmother), Hubert Thomas, Brigid Catherine, Sarah. I have traced the lineages of Maria, Sarah and Catherine.
Hugh ran a shop that incorporated a Post Office, a grocery, and a pub. He was also a Prebendary Magistrate and a Clerk of the Petty Sessions.
His house still stands and is now a grade II listed thatched cottage in Kilmore. I visited there last weekend with my Dad and his first cousin.
And you can view my family tree at www.myheritage.com/site-11862511/maurice-gleesons
