Chris, you mention an Abel Dockery b. 1791, but state he died in Missouri, I assume during War of 1812. May I ask how sure you are of this?? The reason is I am looking for the family of Abel Henry Dockery B. abt. the same time in NC. He married, lived in NC & SC, then TN where he entered War of 1812. He died about 1815 from injuries soon after leaving Ft. Williams, AL.
Is there ANY chance that these two might be the same man. You do not appear to have much info on your Abel? Mine is my "brick wall" and I would sure like to find his parents.
Thanks for any info. Nina
