I am a direct descendant of Millicent Dockery. I am Alvin Dockery's granddaughter. Alvin was a great-grandson of Millicent, being the son of Martin Luther Dockery. I have tried for years to find the name of the father of Millicent's children, to no avail. Years ago, I asked some of the older Dockerys and none of them could or would tell me anything. Those things were just not discussed back then.

I can add to the genealogy you posted if you'd like. I know who all of my grandfather's sisters married. My grandmother was born Minnie Elizabeth Shinault. She and granddaddy had 7 children.

Please tell me what you know about Millicent and Alexander Byrns. I am sitting on the edge of my chair as I write.

Thanks, Elizabeth Jane Dockery Sloop

(My family and friends call me Janie)
