Did your William Rufus Dockery have a brother - James Marion Dockery (1819-1903)? James Marion Dockery was a Civil War Veteran and died in Maury County, Tennessee. His son, James Madison Dockery left Maury County in 1900 and settled first in Knox County Texas and shortly after settled in Fannin County, Texas.

If this is your Dockery family I would be interested in purchasing your book. There were two known Baalam Dockery families and I have spent some time trying to untangle the two where some "searchers" have mixed them together under the assumption that it was one family. My wife is descended from Baalam Dockery through his son James Marion Dockery.
