We don't know if your Elijah is related to our Dockery's, but there is some speculation that since our Dockery line was originally from Burke County, there might be a distant connection. The book Dockery's of Dixie 2nd Edition has been reduced to $25 with an additional $7 shipping charges for one book. Most of the book concerns the descendants of James William Dockery b. 1768 Burke Co. NC who eventually settled in Cherokee Co. NC after a short stay in Buncombe Co. He had six children and I think four of them married Lunsfords. The book is quite large, but it has little info concerning the Burke County lines. Let me know if I can answer any further questions.
