Hi Crystal
WOW I posted that so long ago I gave up! Do you know what happened to Grace Dockery Carpenter? Did she move have more kids? I have searched for them to no avail so I assumed they moved or passed away young.

I do have tons of info on the Dockery's back to Maury Co TN and a bit further to Balaam I even have his War of 1812 records. He was her grandfather off the top of my head (-:

Also their brother James Marion Dockery was our civil war hero and he was a judge so his info was the 1st I found. I also have a couple of photos emailed to me of he and Lockie (wife #4?) my g-aunt who is 92 remembers going to New Hope cemetery and walking behind the wagon for his funeral! She also said there was an "Uncle D or Dee" who was in the war and died around the same time 1927 I believe. But James was the oldest, the only one I can figure out would be Hiram Dockery who was "their" uncle but he died in NM Mo in the 1890's . So I am lost as to who this other one is everyone was too young.

Also I have copies of letters (during civil war)from James to an aunt that were found in a wall of on old farmhouse in Mississippi. I haven't figured out how she is related exactly BUT it must be thru the mother of James , Grace etc. to my knowledge she was Mahala Mulvany born in MS. but the name doesn't match the aunt who was Mrs. E.L.McKay ( Elizabeth L. Williams McKay half sister to a Sarah Lucinda Gober McKay , their mother was Ann McCauley the man that gave me this info has passed away but I am still in touch with his wife)

Thomas Hiram I have had some luck with lately, you are the second to reply. I hadn't done any family stuff in almost a year and I am getting ready to move back to CA. BUT my email will be abbent1@aol.com so I will be reachable. I won't have all my paper records with me for awhile, but FTM is on my computer.

I am a new grandma and am going to be the nanny. I leave next weekend so write me and lets chat. I could go on and on sorry (-: love my Dockery's!
