There was a Calvin Dochstader (note the spelling) in Caistor Township, Ontario in 1874. He and other family members all owned adjacent parcels of the original property (along the Welland River) purchased by Henry Dochstader in 1782. It may be of interest that this property was the home of Caistor's first settler (1778), who sold it to Henry Dochstader 4 years later. Perhaps this, or a descendant, is the person you're looking to track down.
