Hello,
I'm doing research on the defense of Fort Harrison on Sept. 4, 1812.I discovered that Joseph Dodds (b. mar 8, 1783 d. Sept. 4, 1812) was killed during the raid.I'm interested in learning anything I can about this man and his death.I'm exploring the possibility that he was buried near the fort. (remains were discovered there in 1970).
The raid is considered to be the first U.S. land victory of the War of 1812 by many historians.
Any info. etc would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Shawn Rogers
