Andrew Boutland (Dodds) was born 27 Jan 1853 at Gateshead.
baptism 8 Feb 1853 Gateshead St Mary (mother Ellen Boutland Spinster) In 1861 he is at Leonards Court but listed as Andrew Dodds age 8
I think it was Bootland on some documents(generally the spelling used in Yorkshire, Buteland is generally Devon)I have used the normal Tyneside spelling. Even my William Boutland is sometimes referred to as Bootland or Variants.
My family tree program says Ellen is my second cousin 4x removed. She is also granddaughter of John Boutland that died in the Felling Colliery disaster. John (Felling Colliery is related to my ancestor William Boutland at Bill Quay)
