Hi Yo-Jean,
Since I posted that quirey I have info (just a little) on Charles Dodge. He was the son of Freeman and Isadore West.Charles also had a sister named Jennie V., and a daughter named Jennie Nellie Dodge who was married to a Patterson and was widowed.Next she married a Brown (check records in Burnham).
Jennie Nellie listd her father as Charles Dodge in 1905 when she remarried, and her mother as Isadora Estella Reynolds. Both of her parents were already deceased by then.I do not know ifher mother has the right name or not because I have see three different Dodge males with her as wife. Two of them were hand copied marriage licenses, 1 for John Abner Dodge, and 1 for Charles Dodge. The third was in an old e-mail I recieved from my husbands aunt which had her married to John Dodge.I know from my husbands oldest living cousin and from a 3 generation family tree I found in a family Bible that Freeman married Isadore West and their son John Abner Dodge married Martha Mattie Robbins, and their youngest child, Charles Henry Dodge married Pauline Etta Hunt, and that their oldest son, Charles Leroy Dodge married me.Of that much I am sure.Sumner Dodge I believe was from another line of Dodge's that would probably be distantly related.Check out Burnham Village Cemetery on line and you will see where he is barried.I still have not found where either Freeman & wife, or Charles & wife are barried.Go to dodgefamily.org and see all the info they have, we are members and share our genealogy so one day Tristam Dodge line can be published.Tristam is our line!
If I can help I will, but when you go to the Dodge web page, send Barb your questions and she will answer much better than I.Let me know what you find out. OK?
Your distant cousin-in-law.
