Hello, Timothy. My name is Eileen Dodge, wife of Norman Dodge. We are volunteer genealogists for the Dodge Family Association.

Regarding the parents of Ebenezer Dodge, first let me say that William Dodge did not have a son, grandson or great grandson named Ebenezer.

The Ebenezer Dodge who married Lydia Nowell was the son of Lieut. John Dodge, son of Richard.

This information is from the genealogy book, Genealogy of the Dodge Family of Essex County Mass, 1629-1884 (otherwise known as Volume 1), pages 24 & 35.

Additionally, as mentioned in the book - "On the 5th of May, 1708, his father, Lt. John, made to him a deed of gift of about 40 acres of his homestead, partly in Beverly and partly in Wenham, including his dwelling house, reserving for his own use during his life and the east end of the house and cellar, the garden, the privilege of the well, room for a wood yard and part of the continues on with legal means and bounds descriptions.

I hope I have given sufficient "proof' of the ancestry of Ebenezer Dodge 1 Aug 1760 - 19 Mar 1717/118.
