New data that I have found indicates the reference to them being in Fayette County, TX was not correct. I had that from some sources that were not documented. I checked with the Fayette county historical society and county clerk and found no Dodgens married or buried in Fayette county. If anyone has data to support Fayette County, please let me know, otherwise please consider the Fayette reference as incorrect

I did find Eli and his first wife, Mary, in the 1870 Washington County, TX census. Eli married his second wife, Miranda, in Washington County also.
