Emil Alvin Doering -b. 1883 Elbersdorf, Germany

Does anyone have any information on my grandfather's family? Alvin was born in this small village in Saxony, but raised in Buhlau by his grandparents, after his father died (I think his father was a stonecutter). I remember that two of his siblings were named Max and Minna. He came to the U.S. in 1913 and lived for many years in Carrington, N.D., where my mom (Kay Doering Farmer) was born and raised, and where he had a meat market/butcher business.

The only relatives I ever had contact with were the son (Hans) and grandson (Gunter) of Max Doring, plus a niece (Liesel) and her son Gunter. I have lost track of all of them.

Do these names mean anything to anyone? Thanks.
